Health Benefits

In the United Arab Emirates, all employers are mandated to provide health insurance to employees. Remote offers local comprehensive benefits that cover health, dental, and vision in the UAE. When onboarding a new hire, Remote provides options including the Standard plan, which covers health only, and the Premium plan, which includes health, dental, and vision. Remote offers you the flexibility to cover the employee only (single option) or the employee and their dependents (family option). This enables you to tailor the coverage to meet the specific needs of your team. Note: Health insurance coverage must remain active for an additional 30 days after an employee leaves the company or their visa is canceled. This requirement ensures employees continue to have access to healthcare services during their transition period and helps prevent any gaps in coverage. Additionally, maintaining active health insurance is crucial for fulfilling visa requirements and avoiding potential legal or regulatory issues. An additional 15 days are factored in to cover the time typically needed to process the visa cancellation. Therefore, a total of 45 days of extended health insurance coverage is required when an employee leaves the company.
