Retirement & Pension
In Denmark, Remote offers multiple contribution options. These plans includes retirement savings, life insurance, disability insurance, and critical illness insurance. An enrollee counseling service is also provided for guidance on pension planning and benefits. When occupational pension benefits are offered, they must be provided equally to all employees in the respective country.-
Contribution Plans:
Multiple contribution plans are available to accommodate to the different contribution capabilities for the the employee and the employer (excluding bonuses and commissions):
- 10% employer contribution + employee selects their own contribution percentage
- 9% employer contribution + employee selects their own contribution percentage
- 8% employer contribution + 4% fixed employee contribution
- 6% employer contribution + employee selects their own contribution percentage
- 5% employer contribution + employee selects their own contribution percentage
Coverages:
- Retirement Savings: Helps employees save for retirement.
- Life Insurance: Provides coverage equal to 1x the employee’s base pay.
Employees can ask for a higher cover, up to 8 x yearly pay. If a higher cover is chosen, a larger part of the total pension contribution will be used for insurance premiums.
- Disability Insurance: The Long term disability cover is set up with pay scale, this will in total cover each employee with approx. 75% of their current pay, if they get ill with a working capacity less than 50%. The pay scale combines insurance cover with governmental support. The higher the yearly pay, the higher insurance percentage needed. The cover percentage will automatically be adjusted once a year.
- Critical Illness Insurance: Provides coverage of approximately DKK 150,000 when an employee is diagnosed with a covered critical illness.
Employees can ask for a higher cover, up to 650.000 DKK. If a higher cover is chosen, a larger part of the total pension contribution will be used for insurance premiums.
- Enrollee Counselling: Includes counselling for employees on pension planning, coverage, benefits literacy, investment options, and more.
