Do you require deposits or accruals?
We collect reserve payments in rare, high risk circumstances. This is a form of financial security that enables us to pay employees even if the customer is unable to pay us. Other EOR providers charge additional deposits for offering PTO above the legal minimum, removing probation periods, incentive plans and monthly severance accruals. We don’t.
How do you handle currency conversions and foreign exchange (FX) rates?
Employees are paid in the currency of their employment agreement. If the pay (or any other items on your invoice) is different from your preferred billing currency, we convert this amount using the Remote FX rate.
The Remote FX rate may vary over time and per currency pair. The rate takes into account the risks associated with holding assets and liabilities in different currencies, the costs incurred by Remote, and industry benchmarks. The Remote FX rate is highly competitive compared to other EOR and payroll providers.
Your invoice will show the charges in your preferred billing currency. The Remote FX rate used for each line item, will be visible on the invoice breakdown in our platform each month.
Does Remote require a minimum number of employees or contractors?
You can use Remote to add and invite any number of direct, EOR employees and contractors, with no minimum requirements or fees.
To process payroll for your direct employees, you need to use our Global Payroll product.
Whether you’re hiring employee number 1, or employee number 1000, we’re here to help you scale.
Does Remote charge any platform, onboarding or setup fees?
There are no platform, onboarding, or setup fees for our HR management, EOR, and Contractor Management products. You only pay for the product(s) you choose to use, based on your needs.
For customers using our Payroll product, there is an implementation fee to set up your entities. In addition, a recurring payroll delivery fee applies, which reflects the infrastructure required to support timely global payouts and secure payroll file delivery. This ensures reliable execution and transparent pricing for critical payroll operations. Talk to a Remote representative to learn more about how this applies to your setup.
Can I expect to pay any additional fees with Remote?
Remote’s pricing is designed to be transparent. In some cases, additional charges may apply—but only when specific services, configurations, or value-adds are requested by you. These fees are always clearly communicated in advance, tied directly to what’s being delivered, and never include hidden markups. You’ll always know what you’re paying for, and why.
Is Remote more affordable than other solutions?
Yes.
We directly own all of our legal entities around the world and never rely on third parties to employ workers, which helps avoid costly markups and gives us full control over service quality for our EOR product.
Our Contractor Management product includes a market-leading Fair Price Guarantee, so you only pay for contractors you're actually working with. And with Global Payroll, you can grow your team without being penalised for adding or removing employees—there are no surprise costs as your needs change.
Remote’s pricing is also designed to be transparent and predictable. Instead of inflating baseline prices or applying percentage markups, we separate out specific services and support—so you only pay for what you actually use, and nothing more
